About the Trainer

I’m Ericha A. Stewart, MPH, MSP, a proud Florida native with a passion for building strong public health programs and helping organizations navigate federal funding with confidence. My journey into this field started with a deep appreciation for how policy, planning, and strategic funding can drive real, measurable change in communities. Over the years, I’ve worked across the country, tackling challenges in chronic disease prevention, immunization efforts, and public health strategy, always with a focus on creating effective, results-driven programs that make a lasting impact.

Growing up in Florida, I became deeply aware of how access to resources, effective leadership, and the right policies could shape communities for the better. This understanding led me to Florida State University, where I pursued dual master’s degrees in Public Health (Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Chronic Disease Prevention & Community Health) and Urban & Regional Planning (Neighborhood Planning, Transportation Systems & Civic Participation). I wanted to bridge the gap between policy, program development, and community impact, ensuring that public health initiatives weren’t just ideas on paper but tangible solutions that worked for real people.

I also earned a dual Bachelor degrees of Science in Economics & African Diaspora Studies, which further deepened my ability to understand how history, policy, and systems interact to shape health outcomes.

Ericha A. Stewart, M.P.H, M.S.P “Managing federal funding doesn’t have to be overwhelming – it just requires the right approach, and I’m here to help you find it.”

With this foundation, I started my career in public health, working across different states and organizations, always focused on building strong, results-driven programs that could stand the test of time. Over the years, I have worked as an epidemiologist, coalition director, and public health strategist, leading initiatives in chronic disease prevention, immunization efforts, and workforce training. I have helped secure and manage millions of dollars in federal funding, working directly with agencies to turn complex grant regulations into workable strategies that ensure compliance without sacrificing impact. and long-term strategic planning. I specialize in making complex funding requirements more approachable, ensuring that organizations don’t just meet federal standards but also build sustainable, high-quality programs that truly serve their mission.

I have worked extensively with Special Diabetes Program for Indians (SDPI) grantees and other federally funded programs, which has given me an in-depth understanding of CFR 200 regulations, budget alignment, and federal grant compliance. But more than that, it has allowed me to see what works and what doesn’t—how organizations can structure their programs effectively, make strategic financial decisions, and create real, lasting success.

That’s exactly what this two-day interactive workshop is designed to do. It’s not just about understanding compliance—it’s about learning how to use your grant funding strategically, problem-solving in real time, and walking away with a clear, actionable plan for success. Through interactive discussions, hands-on exercises, and real-world case studies, I want to equip you with the tools to feel confident in your grant management and program execution.

I’m excited to share my experience, hear your challenges, and work together to find solutions that make sense for your organization. Managing federal funding doesn’t have to be overwhelming—it just requires the right approach, and I’m here to help you find it.
